    Hay, I like that idea too. A ride manager can put in a gate however and
    wherever they want! When I brought up this concept and thread my
    intention was not to add any rules. Just to give ride managers and
    people in the sport with a voice other options. Now if there is a rule
    that a PR gate IS a veterinary control point (and I contend that it is
    not) then here is an opportunity for us to finally GET RID of a rule.
    
    This thread brings to thought, how many vets really need to be at a
    ride. At the recent Shellbourne XP they had 1.2 vets for 126 horses on
    the first day.....and it all worked out fine.
    
    Let's do that more often. I have often thought that we in AERC should
    include the concept that for every rule added we have to get rid of one
    too.
