    Steve,

I loved the days when many other breeds competed in endurance, from the "76 Great American Horse Race" to "Tevis." Today it is only a very few exceptional examples of other breeds.  Yes, the Arab does seem to have what it takes to do endurance best, but as we lower the PR criterior we have been eliminating the heavy muscled breeds.  68 was achievable for healthy, fit big breeds.
I'm not a vet, of course, but I do realize that we keep our membership lower by eliminating other breeds from participation.  I wonder if a 64 means that a Quarter Horse and an Appy are as recovered as an Arab at 60?
