[RC] False Completion and DNF reports. - Roger Rittenhouse

    FROM Roger Rittenhouse roger@xxxxxxxxxxx
I have heard this issue from others riders before, It has been reported -
but so many riders are concerned with repercussions they do nothing.
You know - like with the some of issues I have raised.
There are others within AERC that - dont follow the rules and that
applies to RMs and riders -
I have heard this issue from others and issues with trail cutting and
some other not quite legal actions. No one wants to make waves.
We hear so much about the 'level playing field' and making this equal
for all when there are illegal actions going on and not reported..

I am not sure how a rider goes about making this an issue with
AERC/office. Since the office has no idea some one started - got
pulled - then did not show up on the start/DNF list -thus a perfect
    record.
IF this really does happen - and I will assume it does, since I have
heard it from more then one source, I suggest the rider who noted the
false reporting file a protest against the RM who fails to properly
record the START - DNF report.
The violation is of course confirmed in EN when the ride results are printed.
Looks like this is ANOTHER good reason to print DNF in EN.

I have heard this occurs in a few regions. I have no solid proof since
I was not at any of the suspected rides, but riders who were and KNOW
for sure a rider was pulled then did show up in EN as a DNF should take
the proper action. First with the RM then the AERC OFFICE and the
regional director, then the protest, for failure to comply with the
rules and falsifying records of AERC, against the ride manager.
