    It's been awhile since I've gone back and read what I wrote, but with an
    experienced horse (3 seasons or more behind him) that would be between
    competitions, not time off from riding.  And I'm talking about the sorts of
    efforts that folks make for, say, demo FEI rides and that sort of thing--
    not just going out and completing a 100 for mileage.
