Ridecamp: [RC] OF saddle pads

Same here. I loved the bootie system, but the dirt seems to work out to
the edge of your pad wherever it is and stay there.  With a Toklat barrel
pad that dirt is out from under the weight bearing area.  With the
booties it wants to harden at the back edge of the panels. Also, with the
booties the wool seems to sort of mat up and harden in the loin area,
then doesn't come back even in the wash.  I made a felt shim pad that
throws over the top of my Toklat which is shaped like the OF shims to
build up the front a little.
