RE: [RC] What is wrong with my trailer?!? - Snodgrass, Bonnie

Can't have it! The goosneck is all the way down, trailer is almost
completely level, just a tlittle bit of slope. Hubbie can trim it for me
where he works. May try that, but it's nearly level. Yes, single horse
always rides over the axles, always do that. Someone else suggested that it
may need more weight on the bed of the truck. They suggested a filled water
    tank. Hmmm.

    Bonnie...

Well, if you don't like it, I will take it...truck, trailer, or both!
<grin> Anyway, sounds like a weight distribution problem and/or a
    loading problem.

First, make sure the trailer is towing level. The goose "neck" is
adjustable up or down to accomodate different truck heights. What you
describe can be caused by too little tongue weight...the nose is too
    high.

Also, a three horse gooseneck will usually have the middle stall
directly over the wheels. Rule of thumb is that you haul ONE horse in
the middle or front stall. If you have a two horse (like mine) you haul
a single horse in the front stall, which is right over the wheels. If
hauling more than one horse, put the heaviest horse forward or over the
    wheels.
