Somehow all this seems a little bizaare. If 90% of the horses who are
doing anything have ulcers...look around. How many are dropping dead of
peritonitis? (O.K. I know this is Ridecamp and a bunch of you are already
sending me the story of the horse you know that dropped dead of
    peritonitis).

So, a horse misses a feeding, then gets fed, then misses a feeding and he
has an ulcer now. Is anyone scoping horses, finding these ulcers and
then tracking their progress *without* treatment? I mean, boom, my hair
didn't do right today so I have an ulcer. Does this mean I'm going to
spend the rest of my life doubled over? How have horses made it up until
Gastroguard's $900 per month treatment came along? Poor
Secretariet....running Belmont so fast with ulcers...and John Henry...all
those years running with ulcers... And what about Smokey Killen's Bandit.
Surely he had them too...all 18,000 or however many miles. My old pony I
grew up on...every horse on my street... they'd better put Gastroguard in
    the faucets.

Sounds like they've discovered something they didn't know was there...but
maybe it's always been there off and on on some horses. Anyone spending
time tracking it to figure out what's somewhat *normal*?
