Ridecamp: [RC] Whitening horse tail hair

Anyone got any suggestions on how to whiten a horse's yellowed tail?

I'm using a whitening shampoo and have only washed it out twice so far.

Seems to be gradually improving, but was wondering if anyone out there had
any special recipes or products that they especially liked.

I'm a little hesitant to use bluing as the one time I tried that (on another
horse) the horse had a teal colored tail for several months. . .

Very attractive, but a little too festive for everyday.  :)
