I agree with Truman and would like to add that I think I
can take better care of my horse riding LD than comp. I can get off and
walk with him. I can sponge him whenever I want...I always get confused
with comp about whether or not I can or can't sponge. I can also go slower
on an LD...I have up to 6 hours to complete and usually only have the 30 minute
check. With a 25 mile comp, you have your hold time plus any surprise
checks to get through and you have to do it in 4 hours and 30 minutes (at least
that's the time I've always had to work with). I would go with
LD.
