[RC] stifle and stringhalt - Ridecamp Guest

    Caryn Peck capeck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
My horse was recently diagnosed as having probably irritated his stifle. His only symprtom was not being able to hold his canter on one side and a reticense of moving forward. x-rays and ultrasounds of the stifle did not show anything significant. When the stifle area was blocked, the horse moved better. He was to be rested for 8 weeks after injecting the stifle, and slowly put back to work. After about 2 weeks of walking and seemingly fine (but I didn't know for sure as I was not lunging, trotting or cantering so I could not tell) horse didn't want to move forward AND appeared to have extremely minor stringhalt. I'm devistated and paniced. Also, this horse has had a "clicking" sound in his stifle. Vets don't know what the clicking sound is. I would be so thankful for any help, ideas, thoughts...
    Thanks so much,
    Caryn
