Re: digging

My 6 year old filly is a digger! I call her "The Excavator". The owners of
the farm where she lives call her other things that I won't put into
writing. She thinks it is fun to dig a pit. If I put objects (concrete
blocks, barrels, trailer mats) over the places she likes to dig she delights
in moving them and/or digging around them. Anything placed in her pasture
amuses her. I conclude that it is a mistake to draw attention to any area
by attempting to place digging barricades there - she will excavate it in
short order.

There are worse things. Get a big pile of fill material and keep it handy.

Yeah, she's a brat. But I love her! I should have called her Tonka, or
BackHoe.

Maybe they will outgrow this. Yeah, may-beee...

another horse. There is new grass[we're in FL] and plenty of hay. Is he
bored? Does he need to be worked daily? Do I just have a brat? I love this
very silly guy alot but my husband is ready to hang out the "For Sale" sign.
He gets ridden 2x week and daily attention[pets, hugs, treats] which, I
guess isn't enough? Help, Suggestions please. PS thanks to all who responded
to the coughing question, my mare is doing much better and should be back
with her herd by Monday.
