RE: wheels on horse

Paddi,
If you find something that works in deep sand let me know. I have my favourite mare who was never shod til she was 6, but got laminitis at 8 or 9. Now she gets expensive, imported aluminum eggbars on front (the ex-laminitis hoofs) and barefoot in back. I can argue both sides from one horse!!! You all need to start travelling to Egypt in the winter to ride. The weather is brilliant and the desert beautiful. Soon as I can get these bloody companies organised I want to start a small scale riding tour company here for riders in the winter. I've been collecting nice sane horses for this now for a couple of years.....at least that's my current excuse!!

Okay
I am convinced by all sides that shoeing hurts and barefoot hurts. I am going to have my vet remove the hoof ,attach a good set of all terrian wheels.(with optional skis for this time of year) I will carry the hooves wrapped in bubble wrap in my cantle bag to keep them safe.
Lets all agree to disagree and get back to endurance or at least something fun.
