Keratex hoof hardener

Amanda:
Keratex hoof hardener is a proprietary  keratin cross-linking formula.
A cross-linking agent is one that re-arranges the molecular structure
into a slightly different molecular structure.
In the case of sole and horn, Keratex penetrates about 1/8th inch
and toughens the sole (and horn) in this manner.

It works.
I've used it since 1997.

It shouldn't be applied to the frogs, bulbs or periople.

Used regularily, mud will not stick to the outter walls. And soles
are noticably harder. You can use it on a shod or barefoot horse.

Keratex has a bulletin board, on www.horseshoes.com
