Just how long should a vet check take?

When I was working at the Pan Ams it seemed to me that most horses vetted
through in about 5 to 10 minutes. Is this about right for an average? Been
looking at some ride data that has interesting times on it....explainable,
but interesting. I've been arguing for a different system to be used at our
races from the one we've been using for the last couple of years, and this
could make a difference.
