long-distance shipping

Carla,

Last year I had my gelding shipped from California to
Virginia.  I used All-State Horse Transport and had a
great experience.  My trainer had used them before,
moving horses back and forth between CA and OK and TX.


The whole trip took about a week and cost about $1000.
 They do a stopover on their ranch in Colorado Springs
for a couple of days in the middle.  They take very
good care of the horses, are patient and gentle,
competant and professional, and provide excellent
customer service.  I think I called their office at
least once a day and they were able to give me full
updates (including that he was buddies with a
percheron weanling on the truck and that he didn't
want to load again after having a few days off at the
ranch).

If you choose to ship commercial, I would highly
recommend them.  Good luck!
