Measuring trails with GPS
Maureen A. Fager trottin27@hotmail.com
Hello,
Karen said "On a ride recently, riders were out till 11:30 p.m. because of
trail tampering."
Truman said "In fact there is no specification on the GPS program for
accuracy of measured distance."
Nancy said "We asked him about accurately measuring trails through the
woods & hills and he just shook his head & laughed."
It wasn't the "trail tampering" that caused the lateness
of the riders. The distance of the trail was measured
with a GPS. It was wrong.
Happy Trails,
Maureen
