cordura saddles

Just thought I'd let everyone in on my saddle search for my high-withered large arab.I always rode in a cross-country style saddle,but riding over hill and dale forced me to reconsider my tack.I needed the SUV of saddles,not the ferrari model.I first tried the Abetta,nice saddle,lightweight-but the twist was to wide for me to post in it.I also tried a Wintec western,very well-made out of equileather-but the cantle mashed down on Viktor's withers.It would have fit a wider horse-my friend uses it in on her crabbet arab.Third saddle is a Circle Y saddle,cordura with leather.It fits both of us perfectly.The seat is nice and deep,very secore for the occasional bucking spree.It was the most expensive at $560,but a small investment overall,considering my Keiffer dressage was $1200 ten years ago!I hope this info helps someone else.
