DONT GO -  Aside from whether the horse will be up to performing,
AERC rules
prohibit all drugs and antibiotics are considered drugs under that
rule. 
Even if its not an AERC ride I think you are 100% correct not to ask
your
horse for a 25 mile ride when she's not feeling 100%.
