I am a pet groomer, so I have used many different types of clippers on
coats that would make your pony's coat look easy. Oster's do have a
tendency to get hot and they blow hair into your face. The one that I
like the best are the Andis. They are quieter running, which is nice
around a horse's ears, and they run cooler. They are also small and
easy to handle, but a tough going clipper.
