   Yes, as in everything else you do for a ride, practice it before.  This way you will make sure that there is no interference.  Multiday riders wear EASYBOOTS over shoes or foam on over bare hoofs for the whole 5 days.  At the last Timberon Ride I had to replace the boots after the 4th day.  Rett Butler went right through the bottoms.  We put on new ones for the 5th day.  I took them off and brought them home, cleaned them up and used them for the Tevis ride.  Which we completed in 14th place.  Not bad for a horse that has shoes & Easyboots on....
