Foot Pain - Neuroma

My visit to the podiatrist was very educational. I had accepted foot pain
as a normal aspect of riding until it became constant and unbearable. If
you ride in pain, please allow me to suggest that before investing in the
latest shock absorbing hi-tech stirrups, custom boots or inserts, or spend
time studying your riding style - not that these aren't worthwhile
investments - see a professional about your pain. My visit cost less that a
set of orthotics and I learned a lot about my feet. Feet are as complex as
horse hoofs; it's fascinating.

Neuroma is a common problem with athletes. The internet is loaded with
information on the subject. I would still like to hear from other
horse-riders who have experience with this condition and I would like to
thank the folks who have already shared.

El Granada (looking forward to riding with less pain)
