Oh, yes, some of us HAVE experienced this excruciating pain!  Mine started,
I believe, after riding Tevis one year.....poor footwear, poor
stirrups......my feet were numb for three months afterwards.  After having
surgery to excise the nodules on the nerves, and after 3 years of
post-surgical recovery, I am pain-free.  I also use Ariat Performer boots,
which give MY feet excellent support, as well as the very wide tread EZ Ride
stirrups with thick foam padding.  No problems any more.
