  My good friend had to put down her world champion
hunter/jumper gelding a few years ago. She sent some
tail hairs to a man that braids (or is the correct
term "hitched"?) them into a gorgeous bracelet with
silver and gold woven into to it. Very pretty with
excellent detail and craftsmanship. It was expensive,
about $100, but well worth it for the quality and of
course, its very sentimental. Woven into her bracelet
was a couple of silver disc, one with a gold jumper on
it and the other with her horses name engraved in
gold. it was awhile before she could wear it, when she
did everyone always comments on how exquisite it is
and would ask where she got it. When explaining the
significance of  it she would start to get real teary.
 I can get the name and number of the craftsman if you
are interested.
