Grain bugs

Just a quick question.  Have any of you tried putting those cedar blocks
that are used to keep bugs out of your closet into your grain barrels to
keep the bugs away?  I keep the grain in the bag and put the bag in a
metal trash can, but I just don't go through it fast enough and the
beetles get to it.  I was just trying to think of a way to keep the pests
at bay and not have to throw out 40 pounds of grain.  Let me know, will
ya.
