Terrorist Emails Hit Home

Dear All,

It was in reading all your letters, especially the letters of sympathy from
the Ridecampers around the world that this whole terrorist thing hit home for
me.

Yesterday morning my mother was bound for Washington DC from Portland, OR at
6:30 AM PT. It was several hours that the family didn't know where she was,
where her plane was, or if she was ok. We finally found out that her plane
never took off and she eventually returned to my sister's. It was a big
relief to us all. But the story isn't over. My parents run a bomb/drug
sniffing dog business. They have been called to one of the sites being
investigated. My stepdad is already there with their dogs and my mom is
trying to get there. It isn't easy knowing that they could get hurt. Up to
now they did things like drug sniffing in schools or at concerts. That
somehow hit me as safer. What they are doing now carries so much more risk.
This is the real deal and something that they are trained to be involved
with. I know how I feel and can hardly imagine what someone that was in one
of those explosions or a member of the family of someone killed or missing
feels like.

Bless those involved or lost to us,

Tish Stoots
Bozeman MT
