Word on the street is not always reliable.  A rumor can be blown completely out of proportion.  Be cautious, be prepared, but don't get caught up in a panic.  Lif's words of wisdom are right on!
This isn't a legitimate subject for Ridecamp, but I realize that with a national alert on, it's tempting to use whatever communications we have to discuss the issue.
