SADDLES

Two years ago, at the suggestion of fellow competitors, I took
my hard-to-fit Arab to Edie Devens at Trumbull Mountain Tack
Shop in SE VT.  They pulled at least two dozen saddles from 
stock and had me ride with at least half of them in their indoor arena.

Edie and staff are very knowledgeable and conscientious when
it comes to saddle fitting.  I would have paid $2000 for a saddle 
that was comfortable for Meshack AND me but ended up with a
used saddle for 1/3 of that.

I was taking lessons for dressage and jumping and settled for a
general purpose saddle.  I just sold my Western Saddle and am 
heading back to Trumbull with Meshack for an Endurance model.  
It's a 3 1/2 hour ride pulling the horse trailer (we're in NE VT) but 
IMHO worth every minute of it!

I'm sure Edie would be great to deal with for those of you too far
to take the horse (though I understand you can now FedEx the
horse...Edie could ship it back tacked up and ready to go) <g>.
