Should say "ex"-junior.   Just didn't sound right putting the ex- or the former- I don't know!  I mean my ex is my ex but Heather is Heather the former junior.  Yeah, that's it.  I could just see Maryben rolling her eyes now.

 

She's at the age where she can ride a 100-mile ride, walk the horse every hour on the hour after the ride so they can get that BC - and then go partying the whole day and night afterwards. She also has a great sense of humor and loves to tell stories about Red and his rides.  Pretty amazing gal with 7,000+ AERC miles and many more miles to go, I'm sure.

I was so totally stoked about Heather – several friends who were on-line told me she was ahead – I had to come into the office to check out the results!!!!

Red had finished the last leg of Washoe faster than the 50 miler winner – running all by himself.  So when a friend told me that Rita Swift was at their heels, I told her not to worry – Red always finishes strong.  Boy did he!  Boy – Skip Lightfoot must be proud of his boy.  And Maryben – you must be busting a gut about your junior making it big time!  Or I should say “even bigger” time than her Haggin cup win.
