Re: Lameness

Arg!!! oh Crysta, I feel for you! Maybe no linement untill about now?
Bowed tendon? Yes? Ice, wrap, "elevate". What a runner would do...NICE ie:
No exercise Ice Commpression (wrapping to prevent more swelling which
stretches and ruptures tissues) Elevate...yea, how?
How dissapointing. What I found with a very nice trail, no endurance
horse!, was to ice sevral times a day, quilt and standing bandage wrap, no
exercse for a few days. Then, add gentle massage,and warmth to prevent
resulting scar tissue from creating a new problem. Stretches and warmth and
slowwww return to exercise for next Month! Older mare (15 yrs) so younger
horse may do better sooner.
Don't give up!! Take care of her and get to rides!!! Even if just to help
out...stay sane and motivated!!!::)))
