bitless bridle

I too ride a paint that I am getting ready for LD's
next year. I ride in a rope crosspull that is the same
as a bitless bridle and absoultly love it!!!! I broke
my horse in a sidepull, then went to a full cheek
snaffle for a little more control. When I started
riding the trails I wanted something she could easily
eat and drink in while still maintaining control. I
tried a side pull but it just didn't give me as much
control as my snaffle. My cross pull bridle gives me
just as much control as I had with a snaffle bit and
Daisy can easily eat and drink in it. The crosspull
not only puts pressure on the nose and side of the
face but it also gives some poll pressure.

I liked how the crosspull worked on Daisy so well,
that I now use it on starting young horses instead of
the sidepull. It teaches a youngster lateral pressure
much quicker than the sidepull and dosn't mark up the
nose like a sidepull tends to do.
