Be careful of looking at halter classes for conformation!  They are breeding for different goals.
Like the flat croup – functionally is not as good for a dressage horse or jumper – and I have actually
seen articles written to look for Arabs with a sloping croup for performance.

Muscle definition has been a plus for a long time.  I haven’t been around the halter world for very long,
but treadmilling was definitely used 15 years ago so I don’t think that the the halter world is
changing to look at good muscling.  I mean, you know how women go ga ga over well defined
pecs and quads rather than pudgy and soft!
