There is a REALLY easy and dependable way to get your horse's head up from
eating regardless of the headgear you use............pop him on the butt
with your hand.  The head will come up every time.  I barely have to touch
Rafiq.  Some require a bit more to get their attention.  But, it doesn't
require a slap.  And, the first time you try it just barely tap them
because they might think you need to get out of their quickly.

That will keep you "off their face" to get their head up.

This is a Parelli tip.
