Re: zebras

There is a ranch in Dragoon, Arizona that bred zorses, a horse zebra cross. Although short, they were used in the cattle roundups and they even had one they could rope off of. There were two stud zebras used, but only one of them was ridable. The ranch is near the very famous Amerind Foundation and is still a working cattle ranch and also has a museum and one of the last Butterfield Stage stations left to visit in the southwest.

The only zebras I know about were the ones Virl Norton had and he could only
use them driving.  Zebras are impossible to tame and are mean, nasty little
beasts.  Virls had to be watched at all times because they would strike, kick
and bite.  He finally gave up and sold them.....
