RE: Re: going bitless

It sure is not fuzzy here in the west! The head should be on the front end
of the horse and is used for eating forage and for drinking. The other end
of the horse is used for getting rid of what goes in the front end after it
is processed by what is in the middle.

Now as to rounding the back, that is where you are supposed to sit and most
horses backs are round. Those that are sharp instead of being round are not
used for bare back riding in these parts.

So maybe if you all got western horses you would not have the troubles you
are all talking about. Unlike those fancy saddlebreds (who ever heard of
breeding their saddle. What does the stallion think?) our horses know what
each end is supposed to do and they do it.

Then throw into the mix that the saddlebred to which much of "Saddleseat"
was
developed for can be five gaited rather than three gaited and not to even
mention
the application to other gaited breeds and the picture about where the head
should be even gets fuzzier.
