Florida grass/pasture

Just put my 3 horses in a neighbor's pasture for my vacation, and want some input. It's been cut just once so far, and we've had lots of rain. My pasture at home is pathetic, but they've had some grass here, and alot of weeds. Any cause for concern about too much grass? The horse I'm competing is a bit ribby, and is always fighting me to eat any grass we go by. Thanks for the input. Randi and Falconfyre in Brooksville, Florida
