Re: RC: custom freeze brand irons?
> Does anyone know where to get custom freeze brand irons?
Talk to your local metal worker...maybe a machine shop or welder. One
thing to check on. When I was in Tennessee I looked into this and there
is actually a brand registry. (yep, even in TN) If you come up with your
own brand you are supposed to register it in your name. It wasn't a lot,
maybe $25 or something like that. I was very interested in having mine
done, but have never gotten around to it. Freeze brand sybols on the
neck are O.K. for a final ID, but I wanted something that a cop could
check and recognize if he pulled a suspicious vehicle over on the side of
the road. I had a friend who designed their own brand which was a bolt
of lightning ending in an Indian type arrow. Vets tended to write "old
scar" on her vet card. So, make sure you make it look like *something*
recognizable.
