Hello all.  I have had the pleasure of helping to break, ride & work with
several Akhal Tekes, full and part bred.  All four horses have sweet, calm
dispositions.  I believe the two part-breds are crossed with TB.  They are
narrow horses, but fairly deep in the girth.  Their necks are set rather
high. While I would not call them short-backed, they are not too long
either.  The horses I have seen range from 15-16 hands.  One stallion, two
geldings & one mare.  Two golden buckskins, one standard bay & one
black/bay.  The buckskings really do glow!
