Hock Sores

Any suggestions on how to treat and prevent hock sores?
My mare is the only one who gets them and they are right
at the back of her hocks.  She has plenty of soft ground
to sleep on.  I've tried wrapping them and using a variety
of ointments, but nothing seems to be working very well.
