Lightning

Hi All-

In lightning storms, I bring the kids in; between my friends, it's about a 50/50 split as do they leave them in or out. Mine have been caught out when nobody was home to put them in, but that is very rare.

My heart goes out to the poor girl who lost her horse friends. My good friend lost her sweet mare in a strike thirteen years ago this past Father's Day, along with another boarder's pony. My Kit was out there, too, although I did not own her at the time. I was caught out in a real scary bad storm one time when Bobby was only three and a
half. That still ranks as the scariest ride I've ever been on. The sky was green/black.

That storm took one of the big sliding end doors right off the haybarn and flung it out into the ajoining field, about 50 yards! Like a big Frisbee. The farm owner watched it go... then ran like heck.
