Re: RC: re: non-member fee

The riders should understand that if they are not on record with the AERC as a member it is the RM that will fork up the money. The ride manager is collecting the money for the AERC. The AERC will get it's nonmember fee, independent of who pays it. Come on guys we need to give the RM's a break. Carry your cards and show them. It makes life a lot easier all the way around.

A- present card with valid stick for current season, OR
B- renew membership at the ride (including payment to AERC), OR
C- Pay a $10 deposit if the entrant says they renewed but
have not gotten the new sticker yet.  It could be left
to RM discretion whether to refund the deposit if they did not get
billed by AERC or just keep the $10.  Folks that want to
enter an early season ride should renew their membership
in plenty of time, and a $10 penalty for being tardy would
  not be out of bounds.

And just try to do this.  The riders are rude and abusive when you ask to see
their card and if they don't have it, they almost die when you ask them to
deposit the $10.00 until they send you a copy of the card.......
