Re: Another trailer question... the hunt
Well, this is my night for a series of posts... but I get the digest and
respond all at once.
I did ride in my first trailer after getting some new tires. This was
pre-radials. I was young and made the mistake of saying that 1) they were
going on a trailer and 2) I was leaving the state in a few days. Well, I
requested the tires be "rounded" (remember that??). When I rode in the
trailer it was bouncing and shimmying all over the place. I got seriously
hot-under-the-collar and took the tires back to the dealer, yelling to talk
to the manager. He personally checked them out and found out they were
defective! SO out-of-round they couldn't be rounded. I got an upgraded set
at no additional charge and grovelling apologies. Boy, did I ever feel like
hot stuff!
Is it legal? Not in a travel trailer, so I seriously doubt it would be in a
horse trailer.
