IntNewsGroup:Required Documentation for FEI Rides - ADDITIONS

Required documentation for horses competing at CEI-A and CEI-B rides in the
United States

	1) Document that clearly identifies the horse (a Coggins diagram,
for example, if it is filled out carefully and completely).
	2) Vaccination records that show that the horse has been vaccinated
against equine influenza, in accordance with FEI Veterinary Aspects "A" ...
the FEI requires that the vaccination records show proof of the initial
series and yearly boosters thereafter. The initial series must have been
given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days apart, with the
booster given within the next 12 months. If you do not have proof of the
initial series, it must be given again and recorded in the vaccination
records.
	3) AHSA horse recording ... the "Horse Recording Application" must
be submitted to the AHSA Membership Dept., but the $50 fee for an annual
recording has been waived for this year for endurance horses.

Required documentation for horses competing at the Pan American
Endurance Championship:

	1) National Passport OR FEI Passport ... the horse must be life
recorded with the AHSA in order to apply for either passport (the lifetime
recording fee is $150 ... the National Passport fee is $35 ... the FEI
Passport fee is $300).

PLEASE NOTE:

These documentation requirements are for U.S.horses competing in CEIs in the
United States. Horses competing outside the U.S. will most likely need to
have FEI passports and the riders will need to contact Lynn Lopez in the
AHSA Gladstone office (908-234-0848) for
information on entering foreign rides.

As a further clarification, the passport waiver that we (the U.S.) received
from the FEI covers U.S. rides only.

Thank you!
