My suggestion is to do nothing. Last year, I had an accident and my suede saddle
slipped, the horse drug it through lots of water and mud before coming to a stop. the
saddle was fine, I let it dry and used a stiff brush to get the caked mud off and it was
as good as new.
Of course, you could get one of those fancy sheepskin covers for it ;)
