I have no idea if this is relevant but it might be.  I am a member of the
Southwest Spanish Mustang Association, based in Antlers, OK (southeast
Oklahoma).  They hold 2 50 mile races a year (spring and fall) as part of
their Play Days.  The last one was in October, 2000.  The rides are vetted but
run under SSMA rules as far as I can tell from the newsletter.
