Re: RC: Scratches



Okay, just for the heck of it I decided to go peek at the records of who is 
giving advice here.  Just to see who might have some real experience ON 
RIDES with dealing with scratches, and this is what I found.

Since 1996, anyhow.

Teddy has done zero multidays.  64% completion rate, 100 miles completed in 
endurance
Tammy has done at least 14 multidays, 89% completion rate, 4,885 miles 
completed

This is where it probably pays to ask the person doing what you want to do, 
how they handle and deal with things.

btw, I've never clipped my horses around the feet and they've done several 
multidays and have never had a problem with scratches.  I use Eqyss 
Medicated Spray, it works great and is non-toxic, safe, etc.  You have to 
use it ahead of time (for prevention at home if your horses are in the 
mud).   I am definitely going to get some of Tammy's scratches remedy to 
take along on the 2001 XP (along with mega-tubs of desetin).
