Re: beetpulp and gastrin
Beet pulp is digested more as a forage than as a soluble carbohydrate.
However, gastrin release is in response to either protein in the stomach, or
in an increase in gastric pH, not directly to the form of carbohydrate. In
that sense, *any* feed in the stomach increases production of gastrin, as
it's supposed to.
