Nope. Heat-processing starch makes it more bioavailable for monogastric
species (dogs, pigs, humans) but not for either equine or ruminant species.
Too much heat can actually make some of the amino acids *less* available.
But assuming the heat wasnt too high (and in all likelihood it wasnt), then
roasting grain won't do any harm, just no added benefit---unless the horse
is refusing "raw" grain when he needs it and snarfing up the French Roast.
Make sure this wasn't just a marketing tactic to charge more money. :-)
