Re: RC: trailer search

Carla-

I have a 1997 Sundowner 2 horse straightload gooseneck.  We purchased it new, and have been very happy with it - it is all steel, though, their Charter model.

I have the door from the dressing room to the horse compartment, and would highly recommend that to anyone.  It has made life quite a bit easier when I've been camping in the rain - the extra space really helps.  I also set up my shower in the horse compartment.  I love the layout and my setup.  The only thing I would order differently, if I were to do it all over again, is to get an extra foot or two in the dressing room.  I'm not desperate for the space, but it would make it a bit more convenient.  I have the camper door, but could live without it.

We don't have Four Star dealer in our area.  When shopping though, we did carefully look at a slightly used four star.   It wasn't the layout that I wanted, but was a very solid well made all aluminum trailer.
