Anyone who read my President's columns over the last two years has a
general idea of my thoughts on the UAE's influence in the international
field and with FEI.  But, did you know the UAE offered to underwrite part
of the 2001 AERC National Championship Rides thru a motion made by Jim
Baldwin at the Thursday night Board Meeting?... The AERC Board approved
the motion to accept the UAE money on Thursday night!  Fortunately, the
Board reconsidered that acceptance and voted at the Sunday meeting to
reverse that decision and not accept the UAE money to help underwrite our
AERC National Championships.
