Hi Sue - I have tried three different models of the Tucker saddle, english and western. All very pretty looking, but none of them worked for me, or my friend who also was interested in one. You sit too far back in the seat, a "chair" seat. They might be ok for a more recreational rider on more level ground. I found that I kept trying to draw myself up farther in the saddle to get my legs under me, and it was tougher to climb in them. You're farther away from the horse's center of gravity, so he must work harder. As far as the seat itself goes, tho, they are super comfy, with a suspended gel seat. Lots of rings and places to tie gear to. If it were more of a forward-placed seat, I would have bought one in a second. Hope this helps - Chery in WNY Horse kids Kit, Bobby & Dani -----Original Message----- From: Sue Brown <sbrown@wamedes.com> To: ridecamp@endurance.net <ridecamp@endurance.net>; PNER@onelist.com <PNER@onelist.com> Date: Monday, March 19, 2001 11:21 AM Subject: RC: Tucker saddles >I got a phone call from a neighbor yesterday inquiring about the Tucker >saddles.
